General Information:

　　Hitachi Energy is seeking a transport specialist to work in collaboration with its Varennes factory (Power transformer) multidisciplinary team, more specifically with its marketing, project managers, factory leaders, planning and fulfilment team as well as the selected third party heavy lift supplier. This role is responsible for providing a high level of Customer Service to internal Hitachi Energy Business Partners and Transportation Service Providers in relation to transportation functions.

　　Responsibilities

　　Lead transportation projects of heavy and oversized rail and truck transport from proposal stage to installation (long term projects)Work in partnership with factory staff on manufacturing schedules for transportation planning and execution and ensure Business Line provides all necessary documentation.Provide a professional interface with Internal Customers, Suppliers, Customer representatives and Service ProvidersPre-delivery coordination with Marketing & customer pre-delivery coordinationOther Miscellaneous administrative duties, as assignedImplement improvements in the overall shipping work process flow where applicableProvide and request information and other materials from supply management and transportation specialists, as applicableUnderstanding of document requirements and trade data elements for international shipments into U.S. or Canada

　　Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or any equivalent subject as well as a minimum of 10 years of experienceUnderstanding Trade Compliance U.S. and Canadian Customs ImportsUnderstand Incoterms 2020Experience in international Transportation an assetExperience with SAP, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills an assetExperience on rail transport an assetProject Management skills or experience an assetBilingual, fluent in both French and English.Excellent analytical, communication and Customer Service skillsFacility with data management and analysisMicrosoft Office skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point
