[FEU].This position will support FEU's NERC PRC-005 Maintenance program, substation practices, and FEU's Industry Engagement activities. This entails providing technical support and subject matter equipment expertise of electrical maintenance practices and methods, substation safety guidelines, utility industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.The reporting location can be any of the FE facilities. The Candidate for this position is considered mobile, with most of the week working from home and the possibility of traveling to an FE facility up to two days per week.Responsibilities include:Providing support and oversight to FE regulatory compliance commitments, specifically NERC substation maintenance requirements and state maintenance requirementsReviewing and following up on maintenance orders to identify equipment issues or incomplete documentation.Conducting or reviewing Apparent or Root Cause analysis related to maintenance compliance issuesProviding ad-hoc training to new personnel on NERC compliance responsibilitiesSupport the development and modification of FirstEnergy Substation Maintenance Practices and other technical documentsParticipating in industry events as a subject matter expert.Supporting the emergency plan through participation in assigned storm duties, including hazard responding.Creating an environment of accountability and a sense of urgency for meeting agreed-upon expectations/deadlinesWillingness to travel throughout the FirstEnergy system including periodic overnight staysMaintaining a safe workplace for coworkers and the community based upon knowledge of exposures, industry regulations, and operating experiences.Qualifications include:Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school required or be a professionally certified engineer (PE License) and have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical subject (Engineering Technology, Physics, etc.).
