JOB REQUIREMENTS: Transient Alert Services Crew Chief Location: CampDouglas, Wisconsin Employment Class: Full Time Regular FLSAClassification: Non-Exempt-Hourly Position Summary: is seeking aqualified is seeking a qualified Transient Alert Services Crew Chief whowill, under minimal supervision, perform Transient Alert (TA) Servicesat Volk Field Air National Guard Base (ANGB) at Camp Douglas, Wisconsinin accordance with the contract Performance Work Statement. EssentialDuties & Responsibilities: * Provide follow-me service for transientaircraft (rotary wing, fighter, heavy military and commercial) *Perform launch and recovery of transient aircraft * Maintain dailyaircraft log * Perform daily Foreign Object Debris (FOD) inspections *Perform monthly inspections to maintain de-icing fluid/ annotate log ofusage document * Load and offload heavy aircraft utilizing 10Kforklifts * Perform operation of all required aerospace groundequipment (AGE) * Assist with parking plans for transient and exerciseaircraft * Coordinate in-flight-emergency response * Other duties asassigned Education & Experience Requirements: * High School diploma orGED equivalent * Six (6) years, USAF experience* * The TA Crew Chiefperforms a variety of aviation support/servicing tasks not identified byone Air Force Specialty Code. Candidates with Air Transportation,Airlift/Special Mission Aircraft, or Aircraft Maintenance backgroundwill have the requisite skills for the job. * Valid Driver\'s License* Pass a government background check and be granted base access *Obtain an USAF Motor Vehicle Operation Identification Card (AF Form2293) in 90 days * Obtain a Volk \'Certificate of Competency\' to driveon flight line (AF Form 483) in 90 days * Pass an in-house driver\'stest to operate trucks (3,000 lbs. or less payload), tow-vehicles(bobtail, capacity of 60,000 lbs. or less), forklifts (4,000 lbs./10,000lbs. capacity), and all-terrain vehicles (10,000 lbs. capacity) in 90days. Working Environment: * The work environment is a mix of officeand outdoor; less office and more outdoor when aviation units aretraining. * The work characteristics are like ground support personnelat an airport with an active runway. * The noise level is usuallymoderate to high.
