Shore United Bank is seeking a Title Processor to join our Mid-Maryland Title Company team. The Title Processor is responsible for all aspects of preparing commercial and residential cases for closing, disbursement, and document recordation. The candidate must be licensed or willing to become licensed in Maryland and Virginia and may from time to time be required to conduct closings.
Essential Functions
Assist clients with transactions, performing operational duties and processing work while maintaining audit standards, security, and control functions to protect the Bank from loss.
Prepare closing statements and perform residential and commercial closings.
Review and understand real estate conveyance documents and title insurance binders
Market the company's services to prospective customers, real estate agents and lenders
Review title insurance commitments and related documents.
Collaborate with lenders, real estate agents, lawyers and other company closers and title examiners on transactional and title issues encountered on specific transactions.
Display excellent customer service skills to build strong relationships with local lenders, real estate agents and other customers to the company.
The ability to proactively address and resolve issues heading into a real estate closing.
An excellent understanding of real estate closing procedures.
Attend and participate in bi-weekly sales meetings, daily team meetings, larger company annual activities, title insurance educational seminars as needed and monthly marketing activities.
Monthly escrow account reporting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, Monday-Friday.Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Title Insurance Producer License required.
1-2 years-experience working in a title company minimum preferred.
Travel
Must have the ability to travel in order to conduct off site closings and attend Realtor and community events in the local area as needed .Company Benefits
