NY1484266 Textile Associate

　　Oswego Industries is hiring full time Textile Associates.

　　The Production Support Associate - Textiles is primarily responsible for the operation of an industrial sewing machine to produce various products in the Textiles Department. Secondary responsibility to other department for direct or indirect labor as needed.

　　Responsibilities Include -Operate and tends equipment to sew and adjust machine functions as necessary using dials, pedals, levers, panel buttons, etc. -Monitor quality of produced sub-assemblies and assemblies by inspecting each part before and after it is produced for dirt and defects. -Keeps supplies readily available and organized. -Understands the handling of product and proper methods of stitching according to Quality Manual or supervisors instructions. -Ensures work area and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly condition. -Follows prescribed safety and housekeeping regulations. -Counts, sorts and stacks finished work pieces and dispose of waste materials. Maintained daily production records of work neatly and accurately.

　　-Clearly labels work in progress and finished goods. -Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lock Out and all other Safety requirements. -Consistently adheres to and support company policies, Work Instructions and or other procedures, and ISO requirements. -Reports defective materials, processes, equipment, or questionable condition to the department supervisor.

　　Education High School Diploma or equivalent

　　Requirements -Ability to read, measure and understand patterns and prints, comprehend instructions, administrative correspondences and memos. -Able to operate tools and machinery such as tape measure, fabric shears and sewing machine.

　　-Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, use hands or feel and reach with hands and arms. -Able to lift or move up to 10lbs. -Specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision. -Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to preform the essential functions of this job description.
