This Temporary ATC will provide care for an area high school for the fall athletic season from August 2023 - Mid November 2023. Serving as the primary athletic trainer responsible for athletic training room and game coverage. Providing preventative care, evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries. Opportunity full time employment following this assignment Schedule: Afternoons, Evenings and Weekends Compensation: commensurate with experience, starting at $25/hr NovaCare Rehabilitation is a part of the Select Medical Corporation's Outpatient Division. Responsibilities Involved in the Athletic Training Services program, participation in the coverage of school athletic events and practices. Determines the need for and administers proper athletic training techniques during games/practices to decrease risk of injury. Athletic training techniques can include: taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care Maintains proper lines of communication to ensure athlete is getting optimal care within the team. Prudently manages emergency incidents, coordinates EMS and acute care procedures including Basic Life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
