Intermountain Health is seeking a tele-neurohospitalist to join the Intermountain Neurosciences team. Telehealth shifts may be worked from our virtual hospital located in Murray, UT, or may be worked from home. Additionally, we can accommodate a proportion of in-person shifts at the comprehensive stroke center vs telehealth shifts that best fits the neurologist's needs, including full-time telehealth work at the virtual hospital, or from home if desired.

BC/BE tele-neurohospitalists are needed to join our group at the Intermountain Health Neuroscience Institute

This is a 24/7 service providing Tele-Neuro-hospitalist services. 1 FTE is 2080 hours per year spilt up into roughly 12-hour shifts (approximately 15 shifts/month).

Position provides telehealth (stroke, inpatient neurology consults) support to the Intermountain hospitals in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Alaska , as well as in-person coverage of the neurology service at Intermountain Medical Center. We can be flexible regarding in-person vs telehealth work, as desired by the hired candidate.

Neurohospitalist positions are a part of our larger Neuroscience Institute group which includes Neuro Critical Care physicians, Epileptologists, neurosurgeons, outpatient Neurologists, Neuro and Spine PMR physicians, Neuro psychologists and Psychiatrists

The neurohospitalist team works closely with the neuro-intensivists team who cover the neurocritical care unit, as well as tele-neurocritical care consults throughout the system.

In-person hospital Neuroscience Institute is within Intermountain Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and tertiary care referral center

Employment position with the Intermountain Medical Group

Intermountain will provide additional licensure and assistance for states outside of Utah required for telehealth

Requirements:

Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Neurology

Unrestricted Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Alaska MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license (must be eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
