J.P. Morgan's Middle Market Technology Sponsor Finance Group is looking for highly talented and driven individuals to be part of a tremendous growth opportunity covering our Technology-focused private equity clients. The Team is responsible for originating and executing leveraged finance transactions in support of our client's LBO, M&A and recapitalization opportunities by utilizing J.P. Morgan's deep and broad platform, including our Direct Lending, Debt Capital Markets and M&A capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
As a Technology Sponsor Finance Associate you will be a key contributor in building a best-in-class platform with dedicated responsibilities supporting sponsor relationship management, deal origination and execution, and strategic initiatives. Associate responsibilities will include:
Partnering with senior team members in coverage of assigned Sponsors
Participating in due diligence on originated financing opportunities and preparing screening memorandum and financial modeling/analysis
Supporting the structuring and negotiating of terms of the financing opportunities
Coordinating aspects of the credit origination, execution, and portfolio management process with colleagues across the J.P. Morgan platform
Developing relationships with junior members of covered Sponsors and the maintaining market knowledge of the Technology sector
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
3+ years of Financial Sponsor Coverage or equivalent experience lending to middle market Technology companies
Strong credit skills, including experience executing annualized recurring revenue (ARR) and/or cash flow credit transactions
Significant experience with M&A and debt financing in support of those transactions
Extensive knowledge of financial statements and accounting methods, including preparation and analysis of financial models
History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
Passion for the middle market Technology sector
Excellent communication and presentation skills
FINRA Series 79, Series 63 and SIE required (or obtained in first 90 days of employment)
