We're looking for a Technical Writer to join the Security Content Team.
Our amazing, global team collaborates with engineering, marketing, and support to produce great technical content that helps our customers to learn, adopt, and get value from Microsoft's security solutions and services.

Responsibilities
You'll architect and author deeply technical security content in a robust, elegant, and simple manner, using corporate design guidelines and voice principles.
You'll interface with a diverse group of stakeholders to understand, design, plan, and create content based on specs, demos, and test environments.
You'll work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting plans as priorities evolve.
You'll collaborate effectively across teams and time zones, balancing shifting priorities, time constraints, and different perspectives in order to deliver the best content solution.
You'll work with writers on other services to improve the documentation experience, and advance corporate goals and objectives.
You'll use feedback and metrics to continuously curate and improve content.
Qualifications
Solid grasp of content architecture and writing principles . You're comfortable sorting large amounts of unorganized, overlapping, duplicate information into a solid and simple content architecture. You know how to write simply and effectively for an international audience.
Security-savvy . You have some understanding of security in business, and understanding security scenarios such as SecOps and security posture management is helpful. You're prepared and curious to learn more about security principles and solutions with independent learning and self-training.
Effective content management. You know how to allocate and balance your time, track work across deliverables, work in planned content sprints, negotiate priorities with partner teams, and juggle accordingly for unexpected issues.
Initiative and leadership . You know how to lead the content experience for a product, leading content planning, publishing, and maintainance.
Technical tooling: It's an advantage if you know how to work with Github and Markdown, and in a sprint-like environment. You're able to work across diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
