Caterpillar's Resource Industries (RI) segment caters to customers using machinery in mining, heavy construction, quarry and aggregates. Job Description
Manages product development staff, projects, research and support activities
for a Autonomy and Automation's Resource Industries (Mining) product group.
Responsibilities:
• Manages and coordinates technical feasibility assessment, planning, design optimization, costs/schedule management, risk assessment/mitigation, project communication and on-going production support.
• Researches and monitors industry developments, such as technology, materials and process advance; identifies potential new product opportunities and strategies.
• Provides leadership and performance management to product development engineering staff and monitors product development and production processes and activities.
• Develops department goals for quality, reliability, scheduling and support; monitors projects to help product development team meet goals.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

Location: This role will be based out of the Mossville, IL or Tucson, AZ offices. Domestic relocation is offered for the role.
