CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Engineer III opening for our client.
Location: Wilmington, DE, or Buffalo, NY (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Duration: 12 months
Overview:
Serves as an advanced technologist for an individual technology or set of technologies, focusing on encryption engineering, encryption standards, and automation. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions while ensuring adherence to industry best practices, standards, and security protocols.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Technology Management, senior Engineers, and support teams to design and execute technical solutions.
Conduct infrastructure reviews, implementation, and design while maintaining detailed documentation.
Interact regularly with business partners at various levels to clarify issues and gather requirements.
Manage vendor interactions and oversee vendor resources as necessary.
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators.
Stay updated on Financial Services trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory standards.
Support diversity and uphold brand.
Maintain internal control standards, implementing audit points and addressing regulatory concerns as applicable.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
This role requires expertise in encryption engineering, encryption standards, and automation, with a strong ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems related to infrastructure design and security technologies.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Review documentation, proposals, and design changes submitted by junior staff.
Education and Experience Required:
Combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.
Expertise in Encryption Engineering, Encryption Standards, and Automation.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of experience in technical engineering, including infrastructure design, data management, and complex system development.
Strong ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into high-quality implementations.
Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of industry and vendor technologies.
Strong understanding of server/client and virtualization technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective facilitation and influencing skills.
Quick adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
