　　The Center on Child Wellbeing and Trauma (CCWT), a division of the Office of the Child Advocate, supports child-serving organizations and systems in Massachusetts in becoming trauma-informed and responsive through trainings, technical assistance, communities of practice, and coaching.

　　The Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) is an independent executive branch agency with oversight and ombudsperson responsibilities, established by the Massachusetts Legislature in 2008. The OCA's mission is to ensure that children receive appropriate, timely and quality state services, with a particular focus on ensuring that the Commonwealth's most vulnerable and at-risk children can thrive. Through collaboration with public and private stakeholders, the OCA identifies gaps in state services and recommends improvements in policy, practice, regulation and/or law. The OCA also serves as a resource for families who are receiving, or are eligible to receive, services from the Commonwealth.

　　Purpose of the Job

　　Under the general direction of the Technical Assistance Manager, the Technical Assistance Specialist II provides client management, curriculum design oversight, and technical assistance and coaching to support organizations through the process of becoming more Trauma Informed and Responsive. This role offers consultation, training, coaching, and implementation support tailored to address the specific gaps and requirements identified through individualized assessments.

　　Essential Functions and Responsibilities

　　Provides coaching & training support to Technical Assistance Specialist I.Provides coaching and training to providers Develops training, curriculum, technical assistance, and coaching modules for state agencies and providers. Creates supplementary materials that align with CCWT's mission and vision to support state systems in their transition towards becoming trauma-informed. Collaborates with the Technical Assistance Manager to assist in identifying and recruiting organizations for the assessment process. Utilizes trauma-informed assessment tools to inform work with organizations to identify gaps and provide best practice solutions to support organizational change efforts and increase trauma responsive polices, protocols and practices.Supports organizations progress through the CCWT assessment process including:Assessing overall progress at the systemic level towards reaching assessment objectives.Evaluating client data, setting goals, and facilitating the preparation of management reports to enhance organizations' trauma-responsive capacities.Continuously evaluating, planning, and implementing Center assessment methodologies and practices. Works collaboratively as part of a team to successfully achieve established objectives and deliverables within respective timelines.

　　Qualifications

　　 Qualifications

　　• Proven ability to design curriculum for adults.

　　• Experience working with state agencies and managing and supporting partner organization expectations.

　　• Experience managing diverse teams,

　　• Ability to work with and manage the use of external consultants.

　　• Knowledge of childhood trauma/ACES/positive childhood experiences and resilience

　　• Ability to make persuasive presentations to various interdisciplinary audiences.

　　• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or other software.

　　• Experience in project management

　　• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

　　 Preferred Qualifications

　　• Master's Degree Preferred

　　 Minimum Entry Requirements

　　Applicants must have at least (A) five (5) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, experience in public policy, human services, or social work, of which (B) at least two (2) years must have been in a project management (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.

　　 Substitutions

　　I. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (B) experience.

　　II. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required (B) experience.
