PURPOSE STATEMENT The Maintenace Team Leader supervises a unitresponsible for maintaining the plant\'s equipment, buildings andfacilities.In addition to providing technical expertise regardingmaintenance, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic engineering.Withdirection from the Plant Engineer, ensure that the maintenance schedulesare adhered to.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
Coordinates the efforts of maintenance, electric, and hydraulic workteams and provides maintenance and mechanical engineering support tothose teams.
Mentors and motivates associates, providing training and development tooptimize their performance and personal growth.
Communicates performance standards to associates, recognizing andrewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performanceproblems.
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment,planning and implementing corrective action.Notifies department ofrecurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, andquality problems or supplies needed.
Schedules preventive maintenance checks and inspection of assignedequipment ensuring no disruption to the production schedule.
Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily productionreport.Maintains and reports other required operational information tomanagement.
Ensures that plant facilities and grounds are maintained in accordancewith relevant regulations, company and regulatory standards and fiscalconsideration.
Assists in preparing major equipment bids, recommending purchase whenreplacement or new equipment is required. Represents the company\'sposition and interest in dealing with outside contractors, vendors, andengineering consultants.
May have responsibility for plant safety including and coordinatingannual fire safety inspections with local fire departments; arrangingand coordinating internal safety inspections; and implementing solutionsto identified safety deficiencies.
Assists in the development of policies and procedures related tomaintenance and safety.
Assists in annual budget preparation as it relates to safety andmaintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
May direct the machine parts storeroom operation in smaller facilities.
Keeps abreast of latest manufacturing technologies and systems andengineering concepts.
Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support RichProducts Corporation\'s business objectives.
Work directly with Process Improvement Teams and assist in preparationand execution of team charters.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
HS degree or GED and HVAC licensing; BA/BS degree in Engineering orrelated field preferred
3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment requiringknowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, industrial electrical andmechanical systems and maintenance, and automated manufacturing processcontrols and equipment
Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenancetechniques/scheduling and safety managem nt
Working knowledge of FA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP),sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP
Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations toinclude product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality(success rates), cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizingyield)
Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well asplan, monitor and schedule work
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability todisassemble and reassemble equipment
Demonstrated ability to formulate and understand complex mathematicalequations
Proficient using Excel or other spreadsheet software

The actualamount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors suchas experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, andlocation.
