See details about what we do.This position is a member of our Air Permits Division.WHAT YOU WILL DOAs a part of the divisions Air permits team, our Records Analyst II will play a key role in achieving TCEQs mission. You would use your skills and experience to:Provide operational support related to the planning, development, implementation, and communication of air permitting, policy, regulations, processes, and guidelines specific to the Public Information Request (PIR) program for internal and external customers of the TCEQ.Oversee and coordinate air permitting program support of the agency PIR program. Collect, organize, analyze and/or prepare material in response to request for air permitting program information and reports.Develop and/or coordinate electronic document management functions to include generation, preparation, and maintenance of reports, in support of the agency PIR program, and serves as the lead division screener.Expand or participate in the development of procedures, technical documents, operational training, and support tools to meet air permitting program objectives and goals. Mentors and trains staff on PIR processes, procedures, and guidelines.Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent, plus four years of full-time record management work or customer service experience, which involves receiving and responding to inquiries related to records/file information.Fifteen semester hours of accredited college coursework may be substituted for each six months of the required experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience handling public information requests.Experience maintaining electronic document management systems, databases, records, and/or filing systems.TRANSCRIPTS / COLLEGE HOURS OR COURSE WORKSee instructions on how to attach documents. A copy of your official college transcript or evaluation of foreign credentials in CAPPS is required if needed to meet the minimum qualification requirements outlined above.CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEESThis position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Records Analyst II state classification.
