As a member of thetax team, our Senior Tax Manager will primarily be responsible for theCompany's annual Research and Development (RD) tax studies (under IRC41 and IRC 174), the identification and implementation of tax creditsand incentives, and other special projects along with general income taxteam support - all in service of creating an economically sustainablehealth care system.

What You Bring to Cambia:
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Accounting and a minimum of 12years of tax experience in public accounting or private industry with atleast 6 years having worked extensively on RD tax matters. An advanceddegree in Taxation, Business, Computer Science, or Engineering or anactive Certified Public Accountant license is also required.
Skills and Attributes:
In-depth knowledge of RD tax credit (IRC 41) and capitalizationmatters (IRC 174) relating to software development, along with aproven track record of driving efficiencies and optimizing outcomesof each in a hands-on manner while producing complete, accurate, andsustainable studies under prevailing federal and state guidelinesSuperior tax research, analytical, verbal and written communicationskillsProfessional demeanor high level of executive presenceDemonstration of curiosity, and sound judgement and instincts, withrespect to evaluating complex tax mattersStrong leadership skills (team-focused, motivational, considers the"big picture", accountable, etc.)Ability to lead multiple competing priorities while remaining poisedunder pressureAbility to build and maintain strong relationshipsAbility to work with large, complex data sets to build models andleverage data visualization toolsMicrosoft Office experience with a heavy emphasis on Excel, Word,PowerPoint, and Teams (interview, survey, and other uniquefeatures). Experience with Power BI is a plus.Additionally, knowledge of the following is required unless denotedotherwise:{=html}- Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)- Statutory accounting principles (SAP) - Preferred- Accounting for Income Tax (ASC 740)- The Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations- In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry - Preferred
What You Will Do at Cambia:
Will primarily be responsible for the Company's annual Research andDevelopment (RD) tax studies (under IRC 41 and IRC 174), theidentification and implementation of new tax credits and incentives,and other special projects.Will team in supporting many of the daily operations of the TaxDepartment which include a variety of tax compliance, corporate taxaccounting, and tax audit matters.{=html}- Will participate in and help direct the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of tax tools.- Will collaborate in monitoring and evaluating federal and state tax legislative matters, and assist in the communication of related tax effects including any new filing requirements.- Will present to both to the Tax Department, and to others at Cambia outside of the Tax epartment, as needed.- Will ensure Cambia is in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements.
The current full salary range for a Senior Tax Manager is $112,000.00to $184,000.00 depending on skills, experience, education, andtraining; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; andwork location. The bonus target for this position is 15%.
