As a Tax Analyst Senior within PNC's Corporate Tax/Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

  This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager's discretion.

  Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Daily review of PNC purchases for determination of correct sales or use tax.

  • Audit support documentation and other support projects as assigned.

  • Monthly journal entries for multiple tax items and account reconciliations.

  Job Description

  Organizes and analyzes tax forms for filing in accordance with regulations.Research and monitor appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.Preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions.Working with business units to keep them informed about tax implications of their operation.Mentoring junior staff on appropriate regulations, filing procedures and internal communication needs.

  Effective Communications - Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  Flexibility and Adaptability - Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment; ability to adapt as needed.

  General Ledger (G-L) - Knowledge of tools, practices and considerations for general ledger; the ability to update and validate general ledger data.

  Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) - Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to apply them appropriately within the organization.

  Problem Solving - Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

  Tax Management - Knowledge of and the ability to utilize tax laws, organizational tax practices, obligations, issues, and trends.

  Work Experience

  Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
