The Manager, Tax Accounting will be responsible for overseeing and managing tax accounting functions in preparation of tax provision under ASC740 and tax compliance for a consolidated group of 10 US entities doing business in 39 states and the District of Columbia. Your expertise in tax regulations and strong analytical skills will be crucial in ensuring accurate tax reporting, minimizing tax liabilities, and providing guidance to non-finance management.
Essential Functions:
Preparing and reviewing interim and year-end tax accounting calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
Manage and review current and deferred tax reporting for all entities pursuant to ASC 740.
Perform technical tax research to establish tax policies and positions on federal, state and local income, franchise tax issues.
Assist with preparing various federal, state and local income tax returns, including unitary and combined filings.
Assist with preparing quarterly cash tax payment calculations.
Assist with indirect tax filings and business licensing.
Recommends ways to minimize tax payments through creative and innovative application of tax laws and regulations.
Provide guidance on tax matters to non-finance management.
Participates in the review and analysis of proposed tax legislation and advises management of the impact of new laws, decisions, regulations, and rulings and recommends proper responsive action.
Participates in tax audits by assisting in the coordination, preparation, and accumulation of data for presentation to tax auditors.
Performs other projects or special assignments as required.
Respond to correspondence and inquiries from taxing jurisdictions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct reports.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5-7 years of tax accounting experience

Experience with Onesource Tax Provision
Possess strong knowledge of general accounting, payroll tax and accounting requirements related to payroll/payroll tax administration.
Ability to effectively analyze and interpret data, report, and present metrics to all levels of the organization.
Mathematical aptitude and skill in data analysis.
