SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Sr Principal to fill a critical position on the SAIC Prime Program Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program supporting the NRO Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

Responsibilities include:  

Lead, manage, coach, train and motivate the team conducting the entire array of Systems Engineering disciplines (Schedules, Configuration Management, Requirements, Risk etc.,) across a myriad of cloud-based software development activities.

Development detailed Systems Engineering products to include integration, verification, validation and test processes, requirements tracing, short term and long term schedules and roadmaps.

Develop MBSE plans and procedure and the application to current and future programs

Frequent interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, and external stakeholders

Manage requirements for programs and projects

Derive system level requirements and work with the team to develop the corresponding documentation

Developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for new capabilities and coordinating them across the affected organizations

Developing enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements

Scope and link requirements for proper system definition.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.

Active Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph

9+ years of experience directly supporting a System Engineering organization and a demonstrated understanding of Systems Engineering and Acquisition processes.

Expertise and experience with the IC acquisition cycle, requirements processes, budgetary practices, and acquisition documentation

Strong oral and written communications to support interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors at all levels on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between all organizations within a high-tempo environment
