Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Engineer in McAllen, TX.Primary responsibilities include:

　　Systems Engineer will document, test, and modify network operating systems to enhance efficiency and reliability

　　Diagnose and resolve network and user issue escalations received from a dedicated service desk

　　Implement assigned client projects by drawing upon a variety of prior technical experience

　　Maximize network performance through proactive network design and monitoring

　　Develop and maintain accurate and timely guidebooks for clients

　　Maintaining and administering computer networks and related environments including systems software, hardware, and configurations

　　Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required

　　Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures

　　Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems: Including RWAN

　　Replacing faulty network hardware components when required

　　As a Systems Engineer, you will monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made

　　Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems

　　Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems

　　Coordinating computer network access and use

　　Designing, configuring, and testing networking software

　　Provide on-the-job training (via shadowing) to Service Desk

　　Implement approved changes according to the Change management process

　　Linux experience preferred

　　Palo Alto experience preferred

　　To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed

　　Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

　　The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
