Job Description:Conceptualizes, designs, implements, supports andmaintains assigned applications. Serves as a thought leader for assignedapplications, OnBase, Solarity, and Epic Ambulatory for the MedicalGroup and Ambulatory Clinics. Implements, maintains and supports assignedapplications, to meet the business needs of the Enterprise. Driveidentification of requirements for OnBase and Solarity Document ManagementWorkflows. Identify substandard processes through data analysis and presentinnovative solutions. Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analysesof current processes using operational metrics and reports.
Analyzes and documents user requirements, procedures, and problems toautomate or improve existing systems. Reviews system capabilities,workflow, and scheduling limitations.Documents workflows, configure and/or build activities, changemanagement adherence, end user notifications, training information andstatus reporting in the appropriate system. Develops, documents and revisessystem design procedures, test procedures, regulatory and quality standards.Recommends workflow and application changes for improved quality, safety orefficiency and works through the necessary governance structure for approvals.Develops and monitors controls to ensure appropriate availability and dataintegrity within applications assigned.Performs and audits user provisioning for assigned applications for improvedquality, safety or efficiency and works through the necessary governancestructure for approvals. 6. Collaborates and monitors processes and works withvendor to ensure optimal quality and system performance
Required:Associates Degree in Health Information Management, computer science,healthcare administration required.Two (2) years in Healthcare required, with technical experience and/orHIM experience required.
Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, computer science,healthcare administration preferred. Certification as a Registered HealthInformation Administrator (RHIA) or Health Information Technologist(RHIT) preferred.
Physical Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficient computer skills necessary in order to perform the tasks required,including intermediate knowledge of databases and spreadsheet applications;Advanced analytical skills in areas of health information workflow analysis,and planning combined with the ability to form meaningful conclusions andpresent complex data in an understandable formatDemonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of hospital organization andadministration, and laws applicable to health information management.Hands on operational experience working with physicians, clinical staffwithin an ambulatory care settingChange management skills relating to IT applications and the development andcompletion of business requirements and health information documentation.Skilled in information systems used within healthcare systems includingbuilding parameters, implementing, and designing interface requirements.Experience in coordinating IT healthcare projectsRegular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled businesshours or scheduled shifts is required
