IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A SURVEY CREW CHIEF

　　A growing, mid-sized surveying and engineering firm has an immediate need for a long term survey crew chief to join their team. This company is located in Indianapolis, IN and all projects are within a 60 minute radius of the city. This opportunity will allow all Crew Chiefs to be home every night while working on high profile projects. The client also has a deep backlog of work and will be able to have consistent work for the foreseeable future. All qualified candidates will be up for immediate consideration.

　　Qualifications:

　　*3+ years of professional experience as a survey crew chief

　　*Ability to work in 1 and 2 person crews

　　*Willingness to submit to a MVR (for a company vehicle)

　　*Willingness to do day travel

　　Job Description & Information

　　The Survey Crew Chiefs will be doing construction layouts, as built surveys topographic surveys, and boundary surveys during the initial nine month contract period. Once they are a permanent Schneider employee the person will also do ALTA surveys.

　　The survey crew chief will be working with an Instrument operator in a two-person crew and occasionally work solo in a one-person crew.

　　Equipment the person will use Trimble equipment – GPS base and rover units, VRS networks, Robotic total stations, Digital level, TSC7 data collectors and TBC processing software.

　　Projects:

　　The projects will primarily be commercial, industrial multifamily residential and institutional. They do a little residential work. The do large, mid and small projects. The Construction Services team does all the post design survey for the company and they also do pre-design survey work for other Civil/Architectural firms. They work with a lot of large clients and projects - IU Health, working with a large pharmaceutical company that is located downtown Indianapolis.
