　　Responsibilities

　　Position Summary:

　　The Surgical Technologist (ST) is an integral component of the surgery team providing expertise in the role of the scrub nurse. The ST works closely with the Registered Nurse in planning for and providing care to the operative patient and in meeting the needs of the surgeon. Provides appropriate patient care according to the age of the patient specifically: neonatal pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric. Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality as per Administrative Policy.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Requirement:

　　National Surgical Tech Certification (CST)

　　An individual that has obtained the credential of Certified Surgical Technologist, has the knowledge and experience to perform the task of operating the skin stapler, for the purpose of wound approximation under the direction and supervision of the surgeon

　　BLS (AHA required)

　　0-2 years experience and a graduate from a accredited surgical tech school

　　Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

　　Skills:

　　Can scrub set up and maintain a sterile field and preform the duties of a Surgical Technologist for all surgery specialties. Must have the ability to read write and speak English.

　　$29.79 - $37.23 /hour
