About Support Services Operator Lead - Virginia Wesleyan College

  Job Description

  The Mail Distribution Clerk receives, distributes, and delivers all mail including regular, overnight packages, vendor/messenger deliveries, as well as interoffice mail.

  Job Responsibilities

  ? Retrieves incoming mail from local post office and brings outgoing mail to local post office daily.

  ? Operates in a safe and efficient manner, documents usage, and coordinates maintenance of company vehicles.

  ? Sorts incoming and interoffice mail by department and delivers the mail to respective departments.

  ? Collects outgoing and interoffice mail from departments.

  ? Sorts, weighs and applies postage to all outgoing mail utilizing both manual and sophisticated processing equipment.

  ? Calculates special handling fees and enters such on documents.

  ? Processes all internal & external distribution requirements as outlined by supervisor.

  ? Scans all Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, USPS letters and packages and prepares for delivery.

  ? Process outbound courier packages as needed.

  ? Deliver priority items as per the recommended schedule.

  ? Receive skids of paper and deliver paper to multi-function devices.

  ? Receives building supplies and materials.

  Qualifications

  ? High school diploma or equivalent

  ? Valid Driver?s License

  ? Previous Mail Room or Distribution Services experience preferred

  ? Knowledge of mail room software, hardware, and other equipment

  ? Ability to multitask

  ? Excellent customer service skills
