About Support Service Team Leader

LabCorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team in Wayne NJ. In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

  Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6pm to 3:30am (afternoon/night shift)

  Work Location: Wayne NJ

  Job Responsibilities:

  Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Name departmentHelp lead the team in their daily processes and proceduresAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testingOversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areasEncourage process improvements and best practicesPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResolve any production errors as requested by managementResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResponsible for enforcing and managing policies and proceduresPerform administrative duties as needed

  Job Requirements:

  High school diploma or equivalentAssociates or Bachelor's degree is a plus3 years of relevant experience; preferably in a clinical laboratoryPrior leadership experience is a plusFamiliarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferredStrong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position
