Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager. This position will be located at our Bethel, CT facility.
The Supply Chain Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution and supply chain deliverables of New Product Development (NPD) projects and repeat business in Eaton Bethel's Space value stream.
In this role, you will act as the primary interface between plant operations, supply chain, technical support, and the program management office. This role is responsible for developing the program execution strategy while managing supplier development, purchasing, engineering deliverables, and production planning activities for new program execution. This role will involve coordination with plant buyers, planners, design engineering, operations, supplier quality, manufacturing, and FED Supply Chain teams.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

What you'll do:
• Manage the successful execution of Space and NPD projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for project scope delivery and successful execution within contractual, technical, schedule, budget, cost, and quality commitments.
• Forward-thinking vision to see total scope of Program progress and able to move the internal and external stakeholders and processes as necessary to keep progress moving (e.g. vision within Sourcing to detect other critical path processes that could impact subcontractor processes such as another supplier).
• Manage PO reviews with Customer Service and Contracts team members to ensure customer requirements match Eaton's proposal, are within scope, and can be executed.
• Execute IPT leadership across the Project by seeking team inputs to promote rapid resolution to issues. Coaches and provides feedback/rewards on performance indicators.
• Drive the objectives and goals of the program (sometimes set forth by the Program Manager) and provides direction to the project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope, and risk assessment.
• Manage and own hardware delivery schedules for projects in alignment with PMO and/or customer program milestones. Coordinate with Value Stream Materials team, Program Management, and Customer Service groups to communicate new product development scheduling information.
• Provide input to the Program Manager to help maintain Focus 5+1 metrics for program financials, quality, technical performance, and delivery through all the PROLaunch phases.
• Interface with the Sales team to help lead New business proposals in response to RFQs. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient responses.
• Help lead Continuous Improvement (CI) events to increase efficiencies and overall customer satisfaction.
• Support and execute all assigned tasks within PROLaunch and gate review phases.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management function.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient in the development and tracking of internal metrics.
• General knowledge of ERP and procurement processes.
• Project management experience.
• Exposure to institutional problem-solving tools/processes such as cycle time reduction and process improvement tools: Six Sigma, DMAIC methodology, Kaizen, DOE, Pareto Charts, Process mapping, Tree diagrams, Root cause analysis, Analytical software programs
• Experience leading new product development projects.
Skills:
• Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team.
• Knowledge of standard manufacturing process, electronic manufacturing, and/or assembly/test in an Aerospace environment preferred.
• Innovation with documented invention disclosures leading to the possible application for US patents by corporate legal department.
• Limited travel may be required (< 10%).
