Supply Chain Planner, Full-Time, Easton PAGENERAL SUMMARY:Manages all the product supply planning aspects of Finished, Semi and Raw Material product planning with internal manufacturing and/or external suppliers including long term capacity planning. Manages planning exceptions on a daily basis and interacts with manufacturing and/or external suppliers to ensure attainment of customer service, inventory and total cost goals for a Global Supply and Customer base. Leads weekly or periodic meetings with internal manufacturing and/or key external suppliers to ensure production requirements are communicated and understood. Ensures the data accuracy of supply chain system (SAP). Individual will work with U.S. and International team members in Demand Planning, Platform Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Sales, and Ops-Finance on product development and short/long term planning outlooks.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages the global capacity planning function to maximize asset utilization and develops contingency plans as needed, both internal and external.Develops a Purchasing Plan or an optimal but attainable Master Production Schedule based on current forecast to support targeted Global customer service levels, inventory, lead-time and total cost objectives for domestic and outsourced products.Create purchase orders, production orders, supplier requirement forecasts, and supplier/manufacturing pre-build strategy for purchased and/or manufactured finished goods, raw materials and/or semi-finished goods.Controls movement of materials, semi-finished and finished goods for internal and external manufacturing throughout the Crayola Global distribution network.Participates on cross-functional platform teams to successfully develop and execute new product introductions for U.S. and International businesses. Responsible for all Supply Chain planning, follow-up and execution to achieve on-time product launch.Collaborate with cross-functional departments and outside suppliers to improve minimum order quantities, lead times and flexibility to benefit the Global Crayola supply and customer base. Support continuous improvement and Six Sigma/Lean projectsEstablishes schedules for component phase-in and deletions based on use-up projections and analysis. Monitors effectivity date and revises, as needed, based on changing production and sales requirements, establishing the priority and flow of each product change to minimize OSMI.Collaborate with Demand Planning and Demand Control to understand forecasted needs. Maintain constant coordination with Customer service to highlight issues with supply and order configurations.Reconciles receipt quantity and invoice discrepancies with Crayola & Hallmark's Account Payable System.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:BA/BS degree preferably in Business, Industrial Management, Logistics or Supply Chain discipline preferredMinimum 5 years experience in production and inventory management; Experience purchasing finished goods internationally highly requiredThorough knowledge of master production scheduling, MRP and DRP; Strong knowledge of various inventory and stocking strategiesSAP experience desiredExcellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skillsProficient in Microsoft office SuiteAPICS certification desirablePHYSICAL CONDITIONS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
