Job Purpose and Mission: As a Supply Chain Planner at Starbucks, your mission will be to establish effective planning and operational buying strategies to achieve customer service, supply chain, and financial objectives. Your work will directly impact the availability and quality of our products, ensuring our customers receive the Starbucks experience they love.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop inventory strategies to maximize inventory turns and meet service level targets.
Set up and maintain parameters to support optimal planning setup.
Utilize planning systems and tools to create tactical and strategic inventory solutions.
Identify capacity gaps, mitigate risks, and recommend changes to sourcing or agreements with suppliers.
Develop and maintain buy plans, and submit and monitor purchase orders.
Drive and implement small continuous improvement projects related to planning.
Participate in cross-functional project teams as a supply planning representative.
Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Solid experience in supply chain or operational positions, with expertise in planning system tools.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of purchasing, demand and supply planning, and inventory management processes.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural, dynamic environment.
