Position summary
This position will be accountable and responsible for the development of short- and long-term end to end strategies, business cases/models and frameworks to enable the CMD Supply Chain achieve its business objectives of growth, cost/complexity reduction, and business transformation.
Essential functions / responsibilities
Working with a cross functional teams and key stakeholders, lead the development of actionable short-, medium-, and long-term strategies and business cases to enable CMD Supply Chain to achieve strategic plan growth, as well as the sector and overall business objectives.
Connect with the J&J Enterprise network/strategy resources and SMEs to leverage existing toolkits and models and support the enhancement of these resources.
Conduct and participate in effective strategy input processes, including environmental scans, customer insights, industry trends, and benchmarking processes.
Provide insights and recommendations for the CMD Supply Chain over the strategic horizon regarding internal capability, external partners, and key suppliers.
Support the development of the CMS SC Strategic Plan, through the development of potential future state scenarios and “what if” analyses of cost, capacity, demand, investment, and return, enabling driving effective data-driven decision making.
Partner with Finance to align CMD SC Strategy with long range financial planning.
Partner with R&D, PM, Commercial, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Planning/Supply Chain to ensure that the internal capabilities/capacities and external partnerships are in alignment with the pipeline and product life cycle management strategies.
Enable effective communication and alignment to the strategy throughout CMD and Global Supply Chain, leveraging change management and communication resources
Qualifications
Minimum education required for competent performance:
Minimum of Degree or equivalent in Finance, Marketing, Biological Sciences, Science or Engineering discipline. MBA/Master’s degree preferredMinimum experience (number of month/years and type of work experience beyond formal education) required for competent performance:
Combined 10 years experience in medical devices, healthcare, or in manufacturing / production support capacity.
Proven leadership capability in a continuous improvement operational environment is required.
Ability to lead a cross function team in a matrix environment to meet aggressive business goals is required.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills are required.
Proven Senior Management partnership and influencing skills.
Consultancy and facilitation skills are required.
