Amazon AIR is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to identify, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements which redefine the standards for customer experience in our worldwide transportation network. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver shipments from our fulfillment centers and third party locations to customers, worldwide.The individual in this position will be responsible for the effective design of Amazon's aviation transportation network. Through data analysis, modeling, collaboration with internal stakeholders and industry research our Planners will contribute to the design of an optimal Amazon Air transportation network, maximizing asset utilization. Our Planners have a passion for designing innovative aviation solutions that continually improve the experiences of our customers and drive down total cost within the transportation network.Key job responsibilities- Develop aircraft routing recommendations based on Amazon's delivery volume projections- Work directly with internal customers/partners to identify required network capacity and constraints- Collect and interpret operating cost data- Support proposals for new equipment and services that address customer needs- Analyze and recommend optimal network solutions for peak and non-peak periods- Extract and report from numerous databases to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis- Participate in long term planning and modelling sessions- Provide support on long-term supply chain and capacity planning/forecasting- Provide analysis and recommendations for business lanes with quantitative justification- Provide day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of newer systems/processes and gather feedback- Support complex ad-hoc analysis and recommendations- Publish weekly metrics reporting in order for business teams (retail, transportation, fulfillment centers and customer service centers) to take proactive actions to improve customer experience- Map business requirements, understand business process, study and analyze workflows, design solutions and prepare functional specificationsThe role will include upwards of 20% travel to all North America locations.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience- 2+ years of supply chain experience- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules- Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logisticsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market.
