Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
• Drive and further develop the S&OP supply process related to European suppliers in close collaboration with Procurement representatives (Commodity, Supplier Coordination, SC Planning)
• Prepare and facilitate the monthly S&OP supply review meeting, including tracking of defined metrics and actions
• Analyze capacities for the mid to long term horizon (Rough Cut Capacity Planning - RCCP) based on the Consensus Forecast and defined utilization thresholds.
• Perform capacity checks initiated by Customers for products produced at suppliers in Europe.
• Identify capacity bottlenecks within the monthly S&OP cycle and daily work in collaboration with the local Plant Supply Analysts and Procurement
• Support the decision-making process for tool and machine investments.
• Ensure that the S&OP system environment (SAP IBP software; tracking tool of capacity bottlenecks) is used appropriately for the supply planning processes.
• Run the monthly Make/Stock analysis according to the MRP policy for Supplier Finished Goods in alignment with the Supply Chain Planning department.
• Closely collaborate with other functions (Planning, Manufacturing, Demand Management, etc.) to ensure that assigned or requested tasks are accomplished.
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably logistics / supply chain / industrial engineering and management)
• At least 3 years of experience in the production or materials planning environment
• General knowledge of Operations / Manufacturing processes
• Experience in working with suppliers is an advantage
• Production and Materials Planning knowledge
• Strong computer skills (SAP R/3, IBP, APO, MS Excel, Business Information tools)
• Fluent in English both written and spoken; further languages beneficial
• Czech language is an advantage
• Very strong analytical skills
• Solid communication skills
• Capability to drive and sustain performance improvements
• Teamwork skills
