Job Description:
L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions is a world leader in the development and production of advanced night vision and electro-optical systems and components, and supports all branches of the United States Military, law enforcement, first responder agencies, allied nations, and consumers. Our Londonderry, New Hampshire location is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer.
Essential responsibilities:
Support and interface across functional disciplines including Program Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Engineering personnel.
Analyze supplier performance data to identify opportunities for improvement within the supplier base.
Monitor, evaluate, and develop assigned suppliers with the goal of improving supplier performance.
Prescribe and assign Supplier Quality requirements for L3Harris purchased parts.
Communicate and ensure our Suppliers and Subcontractors understand stated requirements, have the capability to consistently and predictively meet, and provide conforming products.
Manage Supplier and Subcontractor performance and validate the implementation of effective procedures, test methods, and process controls, geared toward risk mitigation.
Lean Six Sigma practioner
Proactively monitor, analyze, report on, and participate in the improvement of Supplier and Subcontractor process and product performance. Lead failure analysis, complex problem solving and corrective action efforts, and drive the development of technical solutions.
Participate and/or lead improvement efforts as a member of cross-functional teams. Act as a conduit between the external source and internal resources.
Lead the verification, validation and acceptance of proposed product design and Supplier and Subcontractor process changes.
Participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming product while representing the Supplier Quality organization as a prime technical resource.
Perform Supplier and Subcontractor audits and follow-up assessments as needed.
Up to 50% domestic travel.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Technical expertise in either injection molding, machining, optics, printed circuit board manufacturing (PCB) and assembly (PCBA).
Intermediate to advanced Process Capability analysis, PFMEA, Gage R&R analysis, process mapping, process control plan implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a high volume optical and/or electro-mechanical manufacturing organizations with focus on government, military and law enforcement products is preferred.
Experience in project leadership and technical problem solving.
Experience in Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) a plus.
