　　Akima Support Operations is looking for a Supervisory Meteorologist to work in Montgomery, Alabama. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　Manages, directs and supervises weather technicians providing weather warning and forecast services to the installation.

　　Provides technical expertise and ensures the application of the latest technologies designed to enhance local forecasting techniques.

　　Provides for the overall administrative management of the weather office and its personnel.

　　Maintains and/or improves interrelationships between the National Weather Service (NWS) and other government agencies to deliver accurate weather forecasting.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Must be a U.S. Citizen.

　　Be able to pass a NACI background investigation and obtain a public trust clearance.

　　Bachelor’s degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or other natural science major that included at least 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of credit in meteorology/atmospheric science.

　　5-7 years of relevant experience in meteorology.

　　Minimum of three years leading a meteorological forecasting, warning and weather service program.
