Responsibilities You will: Plan, organize and direct the activities of the organizational unit ensuring that they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs and develop goals and objectives to ensure safety and security. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities by advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures and directives of management that pertain to facility safety and security. Represent the Agency with a variety of functional area organizations. Provide expert advice and consultation to the Division Director in determining safety and security protocols for the EPA-CINC facilities. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. Unless an appropriate background investigation is already on record with the Office of Personnel Management, you must undergo a background investigation. You will be required to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If you are selected, you must complete (or have already completed) a 1-year supervisory or managerial probationary period. Qualifications We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as providing direction and supervision over the staff with responsibility over daily facility support services for all facilities.
