Hillcrest Property Services is a full-service provider of multifamily residential property needs, including unit renovations, complex or R&M heavy unit turns, and procurement of POST Real Estate Group. Hillcrest is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all projects for our multi-family apartments. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring efficient and timely execution of projects while maintaining high quality standards and adhering to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, great leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully completing complex construction projects within budget and on schedule. Responsibilities • Lead and manage the on-site construction team. • Coordinate and schedule activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and field construction team. • Responsible for quality control in monitoring the work and its adherence to the construction documents, and project requirements. • Monitor progress and address any delays or issues that may arise during the process. • Coordinate with the Project Manager to allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials. • Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule. Notify Project Management team of schedule and performance issues, be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact project cost and schedule. • Monitor and ensure all on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness. • Follow project timelines and make sure all deadlines are met on time. • Generate comprehensive reports on project status. • Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities. • Resolve any on-site issues and emergencies. Qualities & Requirements • Construction Management degree preferred or combined education and experience. • 5 years in construction supervision preferred. • The ideal candidate must have renovation/construction experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and competing priorities. • Multifamily experience is a plus. • Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs. • Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills combined with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent • Excellent leadership and team management skills • Organized and detail oriented. • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities. • High level of quality control while working in a fast-paced environment • Ability to read blueprints.
