This program will include a structured work schedule, exposure to leadership, a mentor and learning opportunities. Exposure to the origination of grains and oilseeds, purchase negotiation and contracting, logistics management, and delivery of purchased grain from the country elevators to the export terminal. Will evaluate how marketing plans are created with producers utilizing UGC marketing tools and advisory services via the Profit Partner Program. The opportunity is supported from and with regular communications with Merchandising staff, Logistics Managers, Elevator Managers so that a full spectrum of the business is presented. This position will be required to maintain a positive, forthright attitude that promotes a collaborative, respectful, and diverse corporate culture, and conducts themselves in a professional and favorable manner.QualificationsWorking on a four-year degree in agriculture or business is required but equivalent work experience and education will be considered.Students must be a college sophomore, junior or rising senior to apply at an accredited college/university and a 3.0 or higher GPA.Proven interpersonal skills; must support a team-oriented approach within the immediate facility as well as for United Grain Corporation.Ability to communicate and work effectively on a daily basis.Physical Demands and RequirementsMust be computer literate with proven ability in the use of spreadsheets, database, and word processing software applications within a Windows-based operating environment.Must be able to make decisions and work independently; be detail-oriented with excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.Flexible with work hoursWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
