About Subcontract Program Manager (Hybrid Telework)

  Description: This position is responsible for the overall Subcontract Program Management (SPM) of the Vertical Launch System (VLS) Portfolio within Mission Systems and Weapons (MSW). As the SPM for VLS, this position will be responsible for the all management responsibilities for VLS government and direct commercial sales contracts. The scope includes taking ownership of VLS material base and sourcing strategy, leading new production/capture activities, sustainment and spares. The position will manage a team of approximately 9 supply chain professionals of varying levels. The position will act as the lead SPM, providing guidance and feedback to program managers and other functions as it relates to supply chain and program strategies. The selected individual must have the ability to influence both LM and supplier leadership teams. This position will report to the Launchers Profile Sr. Subcontracts Program Manager.

  Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in subcontract management

  • Strong work ethic and good communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Control Account Management or equivalent financial management experience

  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of SAP

  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures associated with FAR / DFAR requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated communication, negotiation, presentation, and documentation skills.

  • Experience managing supplier relationships and cross functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.

  • Master problem solving skills, and risk mitigation acumen.

  • Ability to work with all levels of management

  Desired Skills:

  • Prior Capture Management skills

  • Experience managing critical major suppliers

  • Experience managing a diverse virtual team

  • Ability to be onsite in Moorestown, NJ

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically

  • Current or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

  Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

  Clearance Level: Secret

  Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

  Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

  Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
