　　Every week and as needed, clean all desktops and work surfaces to include overbed tables and nightstands.

　　Assist lab instructor/ IST with having student sign the "STUDENT USE" sign in sheet during OPEN LAB.

　　Assist lab instructor/ IST with setting up new skill carts for new skills being introduced as needed.

　　Empty small trash cans into the larger ones if needed during your shift, pick up any trash.

　　Chairs should be straightened and lined up neatly in both lab/ classroom areas.

　　Assist lab instructor/IST with restocking skill carts and sorting lab supplies as needed.

　　Position may be shared with the division secretary where filing, typing, paper shredding, mailings, cleaning and other clerical duties may be asked of you.

　　Be available to provide students with supplies they may request for practice in OPEN LAB.

　　Clean White boards as needed.

　　Assist with care of linens laundering, folding, straightening bedding and laundry carts.

　　Put away any unused equipment or supplies into proper cabinet, storeroom or lab.

　　Straighten skill cart supplies as needed to keep ready for use.

　　The cart drawers with syringes/needles are unlocked for students to use when there is an instructor/IST in an open lab, instructor/IST will lock them before they leave.

　　Check that all equipment is turned OFF when not in use (i.e. turn off all 10 SIM Pads)

　　Monitor and report any equipment failure, malfunction, damage, leaking, injury or potential problems to the ISTs immediately/via email. (Including the Manikins).

　　Assist lab instructor/IST with monitoring for any unsafe conditions in the lab or on the premises.

　　Keep doors to rooms that are not currently in use closed and locked with windows closed and lights off.

　　You may assist students by providing resources to practice skills or answer skill related questions as a peer mentor and redirect any teaching to the instructor.

　　Report for work to lab instructor/IST or Division secretary. For illness or inability to work scheduled hours contact Assistant Dean X4464 or division secretary x4491. If no answer be sure to leave msg. Call UP for any emergencies 607-746-4700
