　　Minimum Qualifications • Must be a United States citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States.• Must be 18 years of age or older.• Must be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State.• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.Must have the following Skills:• Ability to work independently• Attention to detail• Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint• Strong research and analytical skills• Excellent verbal/written communication

　　Duties Description Under the direction of the Chief of Public Assistance Administration in the Disaster Recovery, the Student Assistant will assist the Public Assistance Appeals team with various activities including creating reports, process documentation activities, and administrative tasks.Duties include but are not limited to:• Assist with collection of documentation from Public Assistance applicants.• Assist with compiling documentation for FEMA review within specified timeframes. • Produce project management reports, dashboards as well as ad-hoc report requests.• Under direction of Program Administrator, works closely with project managers to support project Budgets including project actuals and project budget baselines.• Under direction of Program Administrator, conduct research to support appeal requests. • Assist with tracking action items and decisions related to appeals.• Create process documents.• Assist the Appeals team with program documentation including organize, write, edit, publish and maintain documentation using appropriate software including MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio and MS Project).• Assist with special or ad hoc assignments.
