　　Responsibilities

　　Supervise the daily activities of the central sterile staff.

　　Oversee decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments using hospital policies and Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards.

　　Oversee and complete preparation of all case carts as required by following national inventory standards.

　　May include restocking, pulling, managing inventory and verifying accuracy of individual case items.

　　Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.

　　Provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to assigned staff.

　　Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

　　Assurs departmental performance follows policies and procedures and guidelines/standards from pertinent regulatory agencies.

　　Requirements

　　Licensure / Certification / Registration:

　　One or more of the following required:

　　Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

　　Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

　　Education:

　　High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences

　　**Previous leasdership experience preferred

　　** 5 years of Sterile Processing experience HIGHLY preferred
