Description
Robert Half is currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a strong background in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Business-to-Business (B2B) Collections. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in financial operations and presents the potential for rapid career growth with expanded responsibilities beyond AR. This position is fully on-site in the Puyallup, WA area.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management:
Handle end-to-end AR processes, including invoice generation, issuance, and reconciliation.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of customer payments.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in AR transactions.
B2B Collections:
Proactively reach out to clients for outstanding payments.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate prompt collections.
Implement effective strategies to reduce aged receivables and improve cash flow.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports related to AR and collections.
Collaborate with the finance team to provide insights on receivables and collections performance.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements in AR and B2B collections.
Implement best practices to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address client inquiries related to billing and collections.
Benefits and Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $60,000-$80,000. Benefits available with this position include: medical, dental and vision insurance; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with an automatic employer contribution of 3%; 2 weeks of PTO in the first year (increases with tenure), 1-week of sick time, and 10 paid holidays.
Requirements
High-volume Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Strong familiarity with the Collections process
B2B collections experience required
Well-founded grasp of QuickBooks
Proven knowledge of NetSuite would be a huge plus
Quality experience with account reconciliation
Proficiency in Aging Accounts
Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Efficient in ERP systems
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
