Robert Half is looking for a contract Staff Accountant for our local clients ongoing needs in the area.

The selected candidate will play a key role in financial operations, focused on processing accounting information, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring quality and timely financial reporting. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and post journal entries in a timely manner.

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies found.

• Actively participate in the month-end close process.

• Ensure all accounting operations align with accounting principles and internal controls.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reporting for management.

• Provide necessary documentation and analysis during audits.

• Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and workflows.

• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts as necessary.

• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to accounting.

• Use Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage and monitor customer accounts.

Requirements

• Recent and related experience as a Staff Accountant

• Well-versed in Bank Reconciliations and Journal Entries

• Experience with NetSuite accounting software a plus, but not required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations
