Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs.

Follow our company’s established accounting processes.

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Meet processing and reporting deadlines.

Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.

Ensure compliance with GAAP.

Assist with and act as the primary point-of contact for auditor requests.

Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Requirements

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting or related field.

Proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience with corporate tax preparation is a plus.

Detail-oriented and analytical.

Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
