Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support our client's accounting and finance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure proper fund management.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Collaborate with internal departments to address accounting-related inquiries and resolve issues.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, as needed.

Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.

Proven experience working in accounting roles, preferably within the legal industry.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
