The Staff Accountant will handle the timely and accurate processing of accounts payables and receivables, among other accounting functions.
PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assisting with proposing and assessing capital expenditure projects. * Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, opportunities for improvement, to identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly. * Develop and maintain relationships with vendors. * Perform vendor maintenance and payments. * Process and distribute customer invoices (Backup). * Daily banking/cash spreadsheet (Backup) * Maintain and update internal controls narratives and documentation. * Support month-end closing and monthly reconciliations. * Provide support with annual financial statement audit. Complete requested materials on a timely basis. * Perform other duties as assigned and required. * Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. * Maintain strong internal controls throughout the business unit to adequately safeguard the assets of the company and to identify potential risks in a timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus 1-3 years' experience; ideally in an international manufacturing organization or related accounting or bookkeeping experience under supervision, preferred, but not required. * Firm understanding of the major principles and procedures associated with cost and general accounting. * Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, and SAP or other similar ERP system, preferred. * Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal communications. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. * Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
