Description Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity with a reputable company. In this role, the Staff Accountant is in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This intricate position is involved in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Dallas, Texas area, at a company where effort is rewarded.

　　How you will make an impact

　　Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

　　Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

　　Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

　　Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

　　Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

　　Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

　　Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

　　Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

　　Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

　　Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

　　Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable Requirements - Adeptness in billing

　　Construction project accounting experience preferred

　　Demonstrated knowledge of Fuel Cards

　　Solid understanding of bank reconciliations

　　Command of general ledger

　　Deep understanding of Construction Accounting

　　AIA Billing experience

　　Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　ERP system experience

　　Ability to meet deadlines

　　Recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Spreadsheet and database capabilities

　　Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

　　Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

　　Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
