The RoleThe Accountant will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to our growing team. This position is responsible for day to day general ledger accounting activities that include duties in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The accountant will also assist in preparing financial reports and reconciliations that support business decisions.Duties and Responsibilities
Perform the analysis of accounts and completes journal entries for assigned entitiesReconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, produces monthly financial reports for assigned entitiesProvide supporting documentation for audits, and assists with month end closing processMaintain weekly cash balances, forecasts short-term and long-term cash flowsReconcile AP accounts balance, deposit checks, and upload deposits into system softwareCreate intra-company billingsReview and verify invoices and check requestsMaintain vendor files, and build relationships to further correspondence and address inquiriesSort, code, match and upload invoices into system softwareMaintain Fixed Asset SchedulesProcess transfers and payments (wire, ACH or check)Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other recordsAssist with month end closingsProvide supporting documentation for auditsReconcile accounts payable transactionsMonitor accounts to ensure payments are up to dateReconcile bank and credit card statementsRequired Skills and Experience
BS/BA in Business, Finance or Accounting required.
1-2 years accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
