The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for plan design and implementation of a computer systems architectures that meet the company business requirements. Works with limited supervision to support test and production suites of applications in a mission-critical health care environment. Updates, troubleshoots and maintains the infrastructure to ensure production, development and test environments support the design, implementation and processing of business applications.

　　Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

　　Troubleshoots problems with servers, applications, network services, and related systems across the nation. Work performed remotely or onsite.

　　Designs and maintains; Windows, Storage, VDI, and Systems infrastructureto meet business goals.

　　Collaborates with and coaches help desk and other staff in pursuit of break-fix and preventative maintenance goals.

　　Works with vendors to deploy new systems and/or migrates old systems tonew systems.

　　Maintains an in-depth knowledge of operating systems, networking, andhealthcare-related technology.

　　Leads peers to accomplish infrastructure maintenance and operational tasks,including the outline of necessary steps to safely achieve goals. Assists inthe monitoring of systems and processes to protect reliability and uptime, andresolves issues as they arise. Leads Root Cause Analysis and incident post-mortem sessions to help incrementally improve operational metrics.

　　Lead or guide the work of other technical staff engaged in similar functions.

　　Other duties as assigned by management.

　　Position Requirements:

　　Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.

　　7 plus years of “hands on” experience as an engineer, IT Infrastructure development and maintenance.

　　Significant background implementing and troubleshooting MS Operating systems, Unix, VDI, VMware, Core Network, and associated services.

　　Significant background implementing and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and patch management lifecycles.

　　Significant background implementing and troubleshooting server and workstation builds in a hardened enterprise environment.

　　Significant understanding of web application security, cybersecurity vulnerabilities and common countermeasures.

　　Significant background in systems and network security.

　　Thorough understanding of capacity planning, performance management and cost optimization strategies in an enterprise environment.

　　Command of Cloud Computing fundamentals, especially, Google Cloud Platform.

　　Knowledge of Zero Trust Technology.

　　Command of end-user provisioning automation, managing users and permissions.

　　Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectivelycommunicate with people at all levels of the organization.

　　Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

　　Independent worker that has strong work ethic and initiative.

　　15% travel may be required.

　　Preferred:

　　Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in computer science or hard science (e.g.biology, physics, chemistry).

　　Google Workspace and GCP experience.

　　Expertise with terraform for resource provisioning.
