What You Will Do
As a Manager, Systems Engineer ing , beyond your technical expertise as a Systems Engineer your success will hinge on your people leadership acumen. You will i nspire your team through clear communication and an inclusive culture, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regional goals . You will c ultivate a customer-centric mindset, while expanding upon your keen awareness of industry trends. It is important that you r egularly communicate with clarity to management, providing metrics on team performance and tackling customer satisfaction issues promptly. Your ability to navigate organi s ational changes, stay on top of emerging technologies, and uphold a commitment to innovation will solidify your role in achieving both team and company success.
Manager, Systems Engineering
Implement programs to promote a strong and cohesive team environment .
Manage performance and key talent closely taking the necessary steps to retain top talent and manage performance at all levels .
Develop team members’ capabilities in support of individual career goals and team objectives .
Engage directly with Sales and Sales Leadership to provide support for pre-sales .
Partner with Sales and Sales leadership to develop strategic and technical account plans, ensuring that pre-sales are providing the necessary technical support to ensure sales and customer success .
Develop a close working relationship with Professional Services and Education to ensure tight alignment between pre and post sales activities .
Support Professional Services by identifying and recommending new opportunities, providing resources for engagements and follow major engagements to ensure success .
Work cross-functionally with Support, Product Management, Engineering, and other organi s ations to ensure alignment with the field, provide process and product feedback, and resolve critical customer situations .
Deliver detailed presentations and briefings to customers on Forescout products and solutions .
Assist and manage with critical POCs .
Assume ownership of customer success in your region and help resolve any customer satisfaction issues escalating to RVP when needed .
Interact with Support, PM and R&D to resolve customer product issues.
Provide constant and clear communication to management regarding important issues impacting sales along with metrics/reporting on team performance.
Clearly communicate and translate the message to your team demonstrating Forescout’s leadership principles .
Systems Engineer
Provide product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospects, either onsite or remotely, in conjunction with the sales team
Develop POC test configurations based upon requirements agreed upon with the prospect .
Manage the POC staging time to allow for test plan refinement, configuration adjustments, and resolution of any issues or questions that may arise during the testing period .
Maintain expertise in Forescout’s technology areas through technical training .
Assist to Develop optimized proof-of-concept test configurations based on test plans submitted by account teams and available resources .
Provide timely escalations to field SEs regarding risks to success .
Achieve and maintain FSCA and FSCE certification in the selected technology area .
Be motivated and wanting to work with networking technologies, enjoy hands-on testing, and customer interaction .
Work with distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner .
What You Will Bring To Forescout
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience with 10 + years of systems engineering .
Must understand basics of managing a technical team and the associated process of leading a region .
Ability to work with diverse groups of people, challenging and leading people toward their peak performance .
Demonstrated strong leadership skills having managed a team for at least 2 years .
Excellent hands-on lab work, excellent presentation and writing skills, ability to travel, and customer awareness skills .
Experience working collaboratively with distributed teams .
Ambitious learner and builder with strong customer focus and with quality .
Motivated to work with networking technologies, enjoy hands-on testing, and customer interaction .
Experience taking requirements and incorporating best practices to provide the optimum user experience .
Thrives in a high-paced, changing work environment .
Flexible and desire to take on additional responsibilities .
Multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
