Essential Competencies: *Server Management oResponsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading Windows servers. oEnsures the servers operate efficiently by monitoring their performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair. oImplements and oversees server security measures. oManages server backups and disaster recovery protocols. oCoordinates and collaborates with software developers and other IT staff for server-related tasks. *Network Administration oOversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects. oPlans, designs, and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems. oAssists in coordinating special projects including network-related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem-solving. oMaintains a thorough understanding of the basics behind the internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.) *Security Oversight oDevelops and implements network security policies and procedures. oManages and ensures the security of databases and data transferred both internally and externally. oPerforms risk assessments, audits, and system backups to ensure data integrity. oCoordinates response to network security breaches and vulnerabilities, including preventive measures to minimize the risk of future incidents. *Additional Duties oProvides technical support and guidance to users and other IT personnel. oKeeps current with new technologies and continually updates skills. oManages multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight schedules. oProvides on-call support for emergencies or scheduled maintenance. Required Qualifications: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a similar role. Experience with or knowledge of scripting commands, Windows operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, and virtualization. Experience in managing security infrastructure. Multifactor authentication, local desktop and server security, corporate antivirus for example. Being familiar with OKTA, CyberArk, MobileIron, Arctic Wolf, DarkTrace, or equivalent Microsoft O365 offerings a plus. Office 365 experience with MS Teams, Sharepoint, and Power BI administration. Experience with Windows systems patching and maintenance. Experi nce with mobile device management. Experience with Network switching, routing, and WAN environments. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's de Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Cisco CCNA certification. Other Professional certifications Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to work within an office environment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced autonomous environment. Must be able to organize, prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, act professionally and maintain information confidentiality. Some travel required.
