Sr. Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (V)

　　Description: A remote Sr. Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (V) job is currently available at Belcan in Bellevue, WA. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline with a minimum of 15 years of experience analyzing primary airframe structures.

　　Job Duties:

　　Perform structural analysis engineering work for larger commercial aircraft primary fuselage structure

　　Perform detailed sizing and static stress, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of engineering detailed parts and assemblies

　　Extract and utilize finite element analysis internal loads data

　　Produce structural analysis substantiation Strength Check Notes/Reports.

　　Develops solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems which require ingenuity and innovation

　　Helps solve problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance

　　Works according to established guidelines

　　Ensures application of best practices and identifies the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools

　　Provides technical guidance and mentorship for the team

　　Required:

　　Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering from a four-year accredited College or University with a minimum of 15 years' experience

　　Good understanding of aircraft metallic/ composite structures analysis, manufacturing processes, and materials

　　Experience with initial structural sizing and detail structural analysis

　　Proficiency in classical static stress analysis and allowables determination

　　Proficiency in linear static finite element modeling and analysis

　　Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written

　　Strong interpersonal skills

　　Due to the nature of the work, you must be U.S. Citizen

　　Preferred:

　　Experience with MSC PATRAN and NASTRAN preferred

　　Proficiency with Microsoft office tools and VBA

　　Experience with ENOVIA LCA & CATIA V5 is preferred

　　Effective oral and written collaborative engineering environment communication skills

　　Compensation:

　　We provide a competitive pay and benefit package. This position is offering a salary range of $124,800 to $145,600. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic locations, and discipline.
